This meter measures capacitors or inductors in two ranges - pico-Farads and micro-Farads for capacitors and micro-Henrys and Henrys for inductors. It has provision for zeroing the device to compensate for lead capacitances or inductances.

The meter is very functional, though it lacks any instructions or a manual. So I will briefly describe how to operate it:

(1) Connect the mini-USB cable to the matching connector on the device and to a USB type power supply.

(2) Slide the little black switch on the right hand edge to the rear of the device (towards the mini-USB connector). The device will light up and display.

(3) Select L (inductance) or C (capacitance) by pressing on the yellow switch button "L/C". Note that this is an alternate acting switch. If it is down it is in Inductance mode. If it is up it is in the capacitance range. The Meter will display either "Measure Lx" or "Measure Lc" indicating the measurement mode.

(3.1) If measuring Inductance Select either "Hi-L" on or off with the Blue switch button "Hi-L" switch. Note that this is an alternate acting switch. If it is down it is in the High Inductance range. If it is up it is in the low inductance range. The Meter indicates the range selected.

(3.2) If measuring Capacitance Select either "Hi-C" on or off with the White "Hi-C" switch button. Note that this is an alternate acting switch. If it is down it is in the High Capacitance range. If it is up it is in the low capacitance range. The Meter indicates the range selected. Note that when measuring polarized capacitors (electrolytic) connect the red lead to "+" on the capacitor and the black lead to "-" on the capacitor.
